FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's tennis team, sponsored by Fulton Medical Center, defeated Lindenwood University-Belleville 9-0 in American Midwest Conference action on Wednesday afternoon at the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.

The Owls won No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and No. 6 singles by forfeits and took a 3-0 lead. WWU clinched the match in doubles action as
Julia Mulder and
Abigail Lemberger won 8-1, in No. 1 doubles. No. 2 doubles team of
Felicia Cesar and
Chelsea Steward won, 8-1.
In singles the Owls continued to dominate as in No. 4 singles,
Julia Mulder and No. 3 singles
Ana Zavala won their match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
In No. 2 singles,
Karyna Sagalai came away with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Nahir Montoya.
Julia Perez Wienese closed out the day with a 6-0, 6-1.
The Owls return to action on Friday, April 20
th when they travel to St. Louis, Missouri to face Missouri Baptist University at 11 a.m. and St. Louis College of Pharmacy at 3 p.m.
