Women's Soccer Hosts St. Louis Pharmacy on Saturday

FULTON, Mo. –
The William Woods University women's soccer team takes the field for an early morning contest against St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Saturday, Sept. 22nd at Firley Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
 
About the Eutectics
St. Louis Pharmacy enters the contest 0-4 overall and 0-3 in AMC play.  Their last time on the field, they faced Lyon College where they fell 6-0. Pharmacy currently ranks 14th overall in the nation for goals allowed per game (4). They also rank 16th in the nation in saves per game (9).
 
Kylee Lewis ranks 11th overall in the nation in saves per game averaging 9 a contest. Lewis also ranks 44th in the nation for total saves with 36 on the season.
 
Eutectics Four Game Slide
The Eutectics have only played four games this season and have lost all four. On the season, St. Louis Pharmacy has scored one goal and has given up 17 goals.
 
Last time against St. Louis Pharmacy
The last time these two teams met was on Oct. 7, 2017 where they Owls walked away with a 5-0 road shutout. Claire Stark and Shelby Scanlan led the way with two goals each, while Elyssa Cappaert followed with one goal on the night.
 
All-time vs. the Eutectics
The first time the Owls saw Pharmacy was on Sept. 22nd, 2015 when the Owls won in 5-0 shutout. Since then, WWU has won every matchup and hold a 3-0 series lead.

The Owls (3-5-1, 1-1-1 AMC) enter the contest coming off a 5-2 win over Freed-Hardeman on Sept. 22nd in Henderson, Tenn. Abby Prather-Turner and Aurora Henriksen led the way for the Owls with two goals each. Shelby Scanlan rounded out WWU scoring with one goal each.
 
William Woods currently ranks 33rd overall in the nation for total saves with 49 on the season.

The Owls have outshot its opponents 143 to 140 on the season. Leading the Owls in shots is Shelby Scanlan, who has 27 shots on the season with 15 shots being on goal.
 
Goal Scorers
The Owls have had six players score goals this season. Shelby Scanlan leads with five goals on the season while Abby Prather-Turner follows with three of her own. Shelby Wiebe and Aurora Henriksen both have score twice this season. McKenzie Gourley and Colleen Bayer conclude Owl goal scoring with one goal each on the season.
 
What's Next
Following Saturday's contest, the Owls hit the road to Hannibal, Mo. to face Hannibal-LaGrange University on Tuesday, September 25th. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
