Owls Dominate STLCOP, 92-58

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University Men's Basketball team dominated St. Louis College of Pharmacy in Tuesday's contest, coming away with a 92-58 victory. With the win, the Owls grab their 10thvictory of the season with a 10-6 overall record. They remain tied for second in the American Midwest Conference with a 7-3 record. 
 
Codi Whitlock shot an impressive 75 percent from the field to put up 19 points on the night. Three others scored in the double digits. Twelve of the Owl's scored a bucket and 12 of the 13 recorded a rebound. 
 
The Owls next face Park University on Thursday, January 17. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. in Parkville, Mo.
 
Game Flow
After a slow start to the game, the Owls found a 6-0 run to bring the game midway through the first half, 18-11. The Owls followed with a 9-0 run just over a minute later to give them their first double-digit lead, 31-16.
 
Back-to-back shots in the paint from Codi Whitlock sent the Owls into halftime with a 17-point lead, 38-21.
 
The Owls pushed a 17-6 run to start the second half which included a three-minute silent streak from STLCOP while the Owls put up 12. 
 
A fast break dunk from Aaron Brookins put the Owls back up by 27 after STLCOP cut the game to 20 just minutes before. 
 
The Owls continued to hammer STLCOP, pushing their lead to 35 with a three from Miguel Hudson. The team closed out the game with a 34-point win, 92-58.

.521 – The Owls shot .521 from the field with a .647 shooting percentage in the second half. 
19 – Codi Whitlock scored 19 as he went 9-for-12 from the field.
