FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Soccer returns to action Wednesday Oct. 23 as they host conference opponent Hannibal-LaGrange. Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Firley Field.
About Hannibal-LaGrange
Hannibal-LaGrange enters the contest in search of their first conference victory. They currently sit 1-10 overall and 0-7 in the AMC. Their only win of the year came in their season opener when they defeated Lincoln Christian (Ill.) 6-0. Since then they have lost 10 straight games.
Their last time out they fell 1-4 to Lyon which took place on Oct. 19
th, Samantha Pikaard scored the only goal for the Trojans.
As a team, HLG holds two national rankings. They rank 22
nd overall in saves per game (9.5) and 39
th overall in total saves (104).
Madi Allen is the only Hannibal player with national rankings. She ranks 10
th overall in saves per game (10) and 20
th overall in total saves (102).
About William Woods
After a slow start to the 2019 season, the Owls have started to pick things up. They are currently on a five-game winning streak which has moved them to 7-7 overall and 6-2 in the AMC.
Their last time out, they shutout Central Baptist 8-0.
McKenzie Gourley recorded four goals in the contest.

History Between William Woods and Hannibal-LaGrange
These two teams first met on September 11, 2010 when the Owls defeated the Trojans 4-2. Since then, they have matched up 12 more times in which WWU holds a 8-2-3 series lead.

WWU will be looking for their sixth straight victory over the HLG.
