FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team blanked Harris-Stowe State University Saturday afternoon, 2-0. The Owls move to 9-7 on the season, 8-2 in conference play.
Despite firing off 10 shots in the first 45 minutes with four landing on goal, the Owls were unable to get past the HSSU keeper. The game went into halftime with the score 0-0.
Chloe Overkamp gave the Owls a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 50
th minute.

th goal of the season in the 57
th minute off

Neither team was able to find the back of the net again, ending with a 2-0 shutout.
The Owls outshot HSSU 23-6.
Abbie Gilblair and Gourley each took four shots on goal.
Michyla Handley was inbetween the posts for 90 minutes and made six stops.
WWU returns to action Tuesday, Oct. 29, when they travel to St. Louis, Mo. to take on the St. Louis Pharmacy Eutectics. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
