FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team extending their win streak to four after Wednesday's overtime victory over Culver-Stockton College, 82-71. The Owls improve to 4-0 on the season.
Three Owls recorded double-doubles:
Kaycee Gerald,
Peyton Greenlee and
Ashleigh Frampton. Gerald also had eight assists and seven steals.
Next up for the Owls is a non-conference home game versus NCAA Division III Greenville University on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

Game Flow
After a back-and-forth start to the game, a bucket from
Peyton Greenlee jump started a 10-0 run to put the Owls up by nine, 17-8. C-SC scored two on free throws with 1:21 on the clock to halt the Owls' run. Greenlee downed a three to go up by 10 with 48 seconds to play, but C-SC scored four in the final 30 seconds to cut the game to six, 20-14.
C-SC outscored the Owls 22-8 in the second quarter, sending the game into halftime with C-SC leading 36-28.
Rylie Cox scored the first points of the second half to bring the Owls within six, 36-30. C-SC took a nine-point lead just under three minutes into the third quarter and upped it to double digits halfway through. A 9-3 run by the Owls brought the game within four with 2:53 to play, 47-43, but C-SC scored the next five to go back up by nine. Gerald grabbed a steal and completed the fast break with a layup to send the game into the fourth quarter with the Owls trailing 56-49.
C-SC pushed out a 14-point lead just over a minute into the fourth, 63-49. Back-to-back buckets from
Jazlyn Drake brought the Owls within 10, but C-SC pushed their lead back out. A three from
Kaycee Gerald with 4:38 on the clock started a 12-0 run to tie the game at the end of regulation.
The Owls momentum continued into overtime with the team powering a 12-1 run in the five minutes to win it 82-71.
