Game Flow
William Woods wanted to get things started early in the match with a quick attack by Chole Overkamp whose shot attempt missed wide of the goal. Moments later, McKenzie Gourley attempted another shot for WWU, but it would be saved by Hornets goalkeeper Camila Chaves.

The Owls continued their aggression in the early minutes with back-to-back-to-back shot attempts coming from Aurora Henriksen, Brianna Morrow and Samantha Donaldson, all of which missed the goal by a few inches.

Finally after multiple attempts, LePage found Henriksen who then found Willingham for the first goal of the game giving the Owls a 1-0 lead over the Hornets.

After scoring an icebreaking goal, Gourley looked to add on to their lead by attempting her second shot of the game but it was slightly high as she missed off the crossbar. LePage was there for the rebound, but her shot missed high of the goal and WWU remained up one goal.

Midway through the first half, LePage was able to break her could streak by capitalizing on open goal, extending the William Woods lead to 2-0.

With WWU's offensive in full attack mode, their defense was also aggressive. They were able to hold HSSU to two shots the entire first half.

With 9-minutes remaining in the half, LePage scored her second goal of the contest thanks to a Gourley-Overkamp assist.

William Woods attempted three more shots in the half before the halftime buzzer sounded; they went into halftime up 3-0.

Harris-Stowe returned from halftime with an entire new attitude. Four minutes into the second half, Malou Hagedom attempted a shot on goal but Micyla Handley would be there for the save to keep the score 3-0.

Much like the first half, William Woods continued their shot attempts but could not connect on it in the opening minutes.

Finally, after five early shot attempts, HSSU scored the first goal for the Hornets, putting them behind 3-1.

WWU looked for a quick response to the HSSU goal but continued to miss the goal.

With 12-minutes remaining in the second half, HSSU's Izabella Tedesco broke free for her first goal of the contest putting the Hornets down one goal.

As Harris-Stowe slowly fought back into the game, William Woods needed to secure their lead. Taylor Amlong looked to give the Owls a two-point cushion, but her shot attempted missed high of the goal and the scored remained 3-2.

At the 7:51 mark, Lizette Popoca just about tied the game but her shot attempted was saved by Handley and the Hornets remained down 1.

In the final minute of the game, HSSU had one more shot to tie the game but a Wallstab shot missed wide of the goal to cancel any chance of a tie.

William Woods went on to capture a 3-2 AMC Conference Championship quarterfinals victory over Harris-Stowe.
