FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team suffered a 98-81 loss to No. 4 William Penn University Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Owls drop to 1-3 on the season.
The Owls host Culver-Stockton College on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m.
NOTE – The game is now being played on Wednesday due to WWU Volleyball hosting the quarterfinals of the American Midwest Conference Championship on Tuesday.

Game Flow
WPU struck first after being fouled just eight seconds in, but
Andrew Nett evened the score with a three.
Treshawn Gause scored five points to put the Owls up by three, 8-5, and the Owls held the lead until 16:18 on the clock.
WPU pushed out an eight-point lead, 20-12, but
Mike Robinson hit a three to cut the game to five with 11:57 on the clock, 20-15.
Gause scored the next five points to bring the game within three, 22-19. WPU extended their lead to six, but after a foul on a three, Robinson sunk all three to cut the game to one with 6:12 on the clock, 28-27.
WPU pushed out a 14-point lead over the next four minutes.
Hodges cut the game to eight after scoring four, but WPU hit a three just before the buzzer to take an 11-point lead heading into halftime, 48-37.
Hodges scored the first four points of the second half for the Owls, cutting the game to single digits just a minute in, 50-41. WPU pushed their lead back to double digits and the Owls were unable to get within single digits again.
Hodges put the Owls within 10 with 8:50 on the clock following a three, but WPU pushed back out by 20 just three minutes later, 86-66.
The Owls once again cut the game to almost single digits as Hodges went 2-for-2 from the foul line.
WPU ended the game with a 17-point win, 98-81.
