FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Soccer suffered their second straight loss Tuesday night as they were defeated by Culver-Stockton 0-3. The Owls move to 1-4 on the season.

WWU returns to action Saturday Sept. 14th as they head to Fayette, Mo. to take on RV Central Methodist. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
Game Flow
The Owls opened the contest very aggressive. 5-minutes into action
Aurora Henriksen attempted a shot on goal that missed wide. Seconds later,
Taylor Amlong attempted another shot for the Owls, but it also missed wide of the goal.
After two straight WWU attempts, the Wildcats responded by attempting two shots of their own; both missed wide of the goal and the game remained tied 0-0.
At the 28:54 mark, Emma McKinstry just about gave Culver-Stockton a one goal lead, but her attempted was denied by the fast hands of
Michyla Handley.

McKenzie Gourley attempted her first shot of the game, but it had a too much power as it missed high of the goal.
Finally, after trading shots, Montse Caparros was able to find McKinstry and give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead over the Owls.
A few minutes after the Culver goal, Henriksen attempted her second shot of the contest, but it missed wide again leaving them behind a goal.
WWU continued to fight but could not find the back of the goal.
Later in the half,
Tayler LePage was able to break free and attempt a shot on goal. But it was saved by Kehley Bitzas.
Both teams attempted a shot each before the halftime horn. Culver-Stockton remained ahead 1-0.
Falling behind late in the first half, the Owls began the second half determined to score a goal. 2-mintutes in,
Savannah Smith attempted a shot on goal, but Bitzas was there once again for the save.
7-minutes would pass by before another shot was taken. With 38:58 remaining in the contest, Gourley attempted her second shot of the game missing high of the goal once again.
After an aggressive attack from the Owls, Montse found McKinstry for a goal giving them a 2-0 lead.
William Woods kept their aggression up but continued to struggle finding the goal.
With 16-minutes remaining, Jody Ellis broke free and gave the Wildcats a comfortable 3-0 advantage.
The Owls made one final push but could not get over the hump.
Culver-Stockton went on to win the match 3-0.
