Owls Host Lindenwood-Bellville in AMC Opener

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University Men's Soccer team prepare for American Midwest Conference action as they host Lindenwood-Bellville. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Firley Field.
 
About Lindenwood-Bellville
The Lynx enter the contest coming off a 5-3 victory over Asbury College (Ky.) The win was good enough the give them their third win of the season putting them a 3-1 overall. Their only loss of the season came on Sept. 6th when they fell 0-9 to Missouri Valley.

As a team, Lindenwood-Bellville holds three national rankings. They sit 32nd overall in total shutouts (2), 33rd overall in goals allowed per game (3) and 39th overall in shutouts per game (.4).

The Lynx also have a player with national rankings. Hysa Milaim currently ranks 29th overall in goals per game (1) and 36th overall in total goals (5).

Following behind Milaim is Conan Scotto and Breno who each have a goal on the season.

Alfredo Serrano leads LBU goalkeeper with a 2-1 record. He also leads with 13 total saves on the season.
 
About William Woods
The Owls return to action after not playing a game since Sept. 7th when they fell 0-2 to Northwestern College (Iowa). Prior to the loss, they defeated No. 14 Bellevue University 3-2 on Sept. 5th. They are currently 2-4 overall.

As a team, William Woods has scored a total of eight goals and have allowed their opponents 10. They have attempted 27 shots on goals while opponents have attempted 34.

Billy Nzojyibwami is the leading man for the Owls with three goals this season. Logan Christopher follows closely behind with two goals of his own.

Iker Gonzalez has been great for WWU. He leads Owls goalkeepers with 19 saves on the season. He currently sits 1-3 so far.
 
History between the Lynx and Owls
These two teams met for the first time on Oct. 22, 2011 in which WWU won 2-1. Since then, they have met seven more times in which the Owls hold a 5-3 series lead.

They are on a two-game winning steak against the Lynx and look to push it three tomorrow night.
