Men's Soccer Falls 1-2 to Lindenwood-Belleville

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods men's soccer team suffered its second straight loss against Lindenwood-Belleville on Tuesday afternoon, 2-1. The Owls are now 5-2 on the season.
 
The Owls return to action September 21 against Missouri Baptist in St. Louis, Mo. at 5 p.m.
 
Game Flow
 
The first shot attempt by the Owls was successful as Billy Nzojyibwami found the back of the net eight minutes into the game, 1-0.
 
Five minutes later, the Lynx were able to tie it up with a goal from Pablo Mora, 1-1.
 
The Owls made several shot attempts in the first half, but were not able to connect. After the first half, it was tied 1-1.
 
The Owls recorded five shots on goal, while the Lynx recorded just two.
 
Nzojyibwami made the first shot attempt of the second half, but would miss wide.
 
Iker Gonzalez made a save with 50 minutes on the clock, his second of the contest.
 
Just a minute later, Conan Scotto was able to connect with a goal, assisted by Domonique Clark. This gave the Lynx a 2-1 advantage.
 
The Owls had five more shots on goal, but were unable to tie the game back up.
 
The Lynx went on to take a 2-1 victory.
 
The Owls recorded 15 shots on the night, while the Lynx took 14 shots. Gonzalez obtained five saves throughout the game.
