HASTINGS, NEB. – The William Woods University Men's Soccer team falls to 1-3 overall after a tough loss to No. 15 Hastings College (Neb.)

th as they host No. 14 Bellevue University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Game Flow
Hastings College were the first to strike a punch. 4-minutes into the contest, Tom Steging found Will Pointon on the break and give the Mustangs and early 1-0 lead over the Owls. Moments later Lukas Goetz attempted to push the lead to 2-0 but his shot was blocked by the WWU defense.
With 17:52 remaining in the half, Nzojyibwami was able to break free and score the first goal for William Woods and tie the game 1-1.
Both teams struggle to get anything off in the final minutes of the half and the game would remained tied going into halftime.
After halftime, the Mustangs looked to attach early once again. 2-minutes into the half Lukas Goetz attempted a shot but missed high of the goal. Seconds later, Tyrone Madhani attempted his first shot of the contest but his would miss wide of the goal.
WWU's
Victor Faure tried to match the Hastings aggression by attempting a shot on goal, but the attack was stopped by Mustangs goal-keeper Max Meurer.
Finally, after 20 scoreless minutes, Callum Watson found Brendon Boatwright for a Hastings goal which gave them a 2-1 advantage.
With 7:54 remaining I the contest, Madhani pushed the Mustang lead out to 3-1 when Watson found him on the break.
Down two goals, WWU knew they needed to kick in to high gear. Brown did just that when Faure found him for Owls second goal of the contest.
Unfortunately time was not on William Woods's side as they were not able to make a comeback. Hastings would go on to win the contest 3-2.
