ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods women's soccer team was shutout by Missouri Baptist this afternoon, 3-0. The Owls are now 2-6 on the season along with a 1-1 AMC record.

The Owls will face RV Columbia College at Firley Field on September 21. Kick-off is set for at 5 p.m.
Game Flow
William Woods started the match right away with two shots on goal, but couldn't quite connect. Savanah Smith missed a shot wide while Taylor Armstrong's shot was saved by the Jemica Artillaga.
The Spartans were able to get four shots on goal, but they would miss wide.
It was a slow first half as neither team got on the board, 0-0.
Just one minute into the second half, the Spartans came out of the gates with confidence. Riley Janvrin was able to connect off a corner kick and find the back of the net, 1-0.

Michyla Handley made a save with 53 minutes on the clock.
Madi Wedekin attempted a shot with 60 minutes remaining, but was saved by Artillaga.
With 82 minutes on the clock, Madison Dodd was able to connect and put the Spartans up, 2-0.
Shortly after, Gianna Gore came up with the final goal for the Spartans, 3-0.
Missouri Baptist went on to win the match, 3-0.
