FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University Women's Soccer Team returns to action Wednesday night as they host RV Columbia College. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Firley Field.
About Columbia
The Cougars come into the contest 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the AMC which puts them third overall in the conference. Columbia began their season with a 0-2 loss to Martin Methodist (Tenn.) on Aug 23
rd. After the loss, the won three straight games improving to 3-1. They went on to lose two more games to John Brown (Ark.) and Benedictine College (Kan.) They were able to redeem themselves their last time out by defeating Lyon 5-0.
As a unit, the Cougars rank 41
st overall in the nation in total shutouts (3).
Kelsey Mirts is the only Columbia player with national rankings. She has a total of seven national rankings with three being in the Top 25. She ranks 8
th overall in total game winning goals (3), 10
th overall in game winning goals per game (.43) and 23
rd overall in goals per game (1).
Cougar's goalkeeper Victoria Heus has also played well. In six games she has recorded 28 saves and is 2-3 on the season.

Sitting at 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the AMC the Owls enter the contest coming off a 0-3 loss to Missouri Baptist. Prior to the loss, WWU captured its first conference win on Sept. 17
th when they defeated Lindenwood-Belleville 5-1.
Collectively, William Wods ranks 35

McKenzie Gourley is leading the pack with three goals on the season. So far she has attempted 13 shots with 7 being on goal.
Aurora Henriksen follows behing Gourley with two goals on the season. She has attempted 14 total shots with 9 shots being on goal.
Tayler LePage has also played aggressive this season. She leads the Owls with 21 shots with 12 shots being on goal. She ties
