FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team breezed past Williams Baptist University Saturday evening for their fourth straight victory. The 77-54 win brings the Owls to 12-4 overall with a 7-4 conference mark.
Gerald posted her sixth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
The Owls complete the first leg of their conference schedule on Thursday, Jan. 16, with a road game at Stephens College. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. in Columbia, Mo.

Game Flow
The Owls pushed a 7-0 run after WBU put up a three to start the game, giving the Owls a four-point lead just over three minutes in, 7-3.
Back-to-back shots from WBU tied the game at 10 all with 1:59 on the clock, but
Ashleigh Frampton and
Kaycee Gerald scored back-to-back buckets to send the game into the second quarter with the Owls leading 14-10.
WBU evened the score 1:24 into the second quarter.
A two from
Rylie Cox put the Owls up again, but WBU brought the game within one with 7:25 on the board, 19-18.
The Owls pushed out by five, and after WBU scored two points, Cox scored eight of the Owls' 10-0 run to give the Owls a 13-point lead, 33-20.
A fast break lay up by Gerald gave the Owls a 16-point lead with 21 seconds on the clock, but WBU scored six straight to send the game into halftime with the Owls leading 38-28.
The Owls opened the second half with a 10-1 run to take a 19-point lead four minutes in, 48-29.
In a one minute span towards the end of the quarter, the Owls powered a 7-0 run to take up a 26-point lead, 60-34. WBU paused the run with a bucket at the 20 second mark to send the game into the fourth quarter with the Owls leading 60-36.
The Owls opened the fourth by putting up a 27-point lead, their largest lead of the game (63-36). WBU knocked the game to 20 with 6:57 on the clock, but the Owls maintained at least a 20-point lead throughout the remainder of the game, ending with a 23-point win, 77-54.
