The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2019 NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic Athletes and the Men's and Women's All-Academic Teams Thursday afternoon. William Woods University men's cross country placed six of their seven runners from the NAIA National Championships on the list. Both the men's and women's team earned the Team All-Academic award.
The six from the men's cross country team:
Tyler Bossing,
Hunter Carpenter,
Ben Farrell,
Cole Koch,
Nathaniel Ogden and
Schuyler Ogden.
The USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors student-athletes who have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 in addition to competing at the NAIA Championships.
The two teams also earned the Team All-Academic award. The men's team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.29 while the women held a 3.45.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is a non-profit professional organization representing cross country and track & field coaches of all levels. The organization represents thousands of coaching members encompassing NCAA track & field programs (DI, DII, and DIII) and includes members representing the NAIA and NJCAA, as well as a number of state high school coaches associations. The USTFCCCA serves as an advocate for cross country and track & field coaches, providing a leadership structure to assist the needs of a diverse membership, serving as a lobbyist for coaches' interests, and working as a liaison between the various stakeholders in the sports of cross country and track & field.
