FULTON, Mo. – The No. 6 William Woods University women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to NCAA Division II University of Nebraska – Kearney Saturday afternoon. The loss brings the Owls to 1-3 on the season.
The Owls begin their spring break trip on Monday, March 2, at RV Campbellsville.

Ana Zavala won the first doubles set in the No. 1 spot with a 6-2 decision, but the No. 2 and No. 3 succumbed to UNK.
UNK took up a 2-0 lead as they defeated the Owls in the No. 4 singles.
Shuraeva in the No. 1 singles and Zavala in the No. 2 singles evened the score at 2-2. Shuraeva won with a 6-4 and a 6-2 decision. Zavala won 7-5, 7-6.
UNK won the final three to take the 5-2 win over the Owls.
