FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team officially clinched a spot in the American Midwest Conference Championship with their 11
th consecutive win of the season over Central Baptist College Thursday evening. The 67-51 win brings the Owls to 19-4 on the season with a 13-4 conference mark.
Ashleigh Frampton recorded a double-double, and
Peyton Greenlee eclipsed the 1,500-career point mark.
The Owls end their home stretch on Saturday, Feb. 8, with a 1 p.m. game versus Lyon College.

Game Flow
The Owls scored the first four points of the game, but CBC flipped the score and took up a seven-point lead with :06 left in the first.
Rylie Cox cut the Owls' deficit to five with a layup just before the buzzer, 16-11.
The Owls pushed an 8-0 run to start the second quarter, ending with an and-one play from
Katie French to take a one-point lead with 6:35 on the clock. CBC evened the score and pushed back up by four.
With 3:39 on the clock,
Kaycee Gerald hit a three from the corner to take the lead and force CBC to call a timeout. The Owls continued with their 11-0 run to take up a seven-point lead with 1:16 to play, 30-23.
CBC scored the final points of the half, sending the Owls into halftime with a 30-25 lead. The Owls outscored CBC 19-9 in the second half.
A three from Gerald put the Owls up by eight, and the Owls maintained that lead. With 4:43 on the clock,
Kasey Hazell put one in down low to start a 6-0 run to give the Owls their first double-digit lead of the game, 48-36.
CBC knocked the game to nine with a three just before the buzzer to send the game into the final quarter with the Owls leading 51-42.
The Owls outscored CBC 16-9 in the final quarter, starting with an 8-0 run to take a 17-point lead less than a minute in.
Hazell, Cox and Frampton each scored to put the Owls up by 18 with 2:11 to play after CBC scored two back-to-back to cut the game to 12.
