FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team fell to No. 5 Columbia College 1-0 this afternoon. The loss drops the Owls to 2-6 with a 0-2 in AMC play.
Columbia netted the only goal of the game in the 40
th minute. During the five minutes remaining in the first period, the Owls had two shots but both did not find the back of the net.
In the second period, the Owls had only one shot on goal but it went wide.
Ben Faherty (2-4) recorded nine saves during 90 minutes in between the posts.
Columbia outshot the Owls, 23-3.
Next for the Owls is Oakland City University at home on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 3 p.m.
