ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team picked up their first AMC win over University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, 1-0, this evening. The win moves the Owls to 3-11 overall and 1-6 in AMC play.
With 36 minutes into the first period, a pass by
Noah Gledhill to
Breck McGrail found the back of the net scoring the first goal for the Owls.
UHSP tied the match in the beginning of the second period with their first and only goal of the game, 1-1.
Gledhill scored the final goal of the game in the 68
th minute assisted by
Nicolas Martinez.
Ben Faherty (3-6) grabbed the win in goal. He played 90 minutes in between the posts and had six saves.
UHSP outshot the Owls, 15-10.
Next for the Owls is Senior Day at home versus Hannibal-LaGrange on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m.
