FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team closed out their regular season with a 1-0 overtime win over Hannibal-LaGrange Saturday evening. They move to 11-4-1 on the season and closed out conference with a 7-2 record.
The Owls enter the American Midwest Conference Championship as the three-seed and host six-seeded Williams Baptist University on Friday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m.
Following this evening's game, the Owls honored the four seniors:
Rosemary Lenz,
Taylor Amlong,
Brianna Morrow, and
McKenzie Gourley.
Chloe Overkamp scored the golden goal in the 96
th minute off a rebound from
Mackenzie Boyle's punched out shot.
The Owls outshot HLGU 35-5 with 17 shots on goal.
Michyla Handley (4-2) spent the entire time in goal and recorded four saves.
