FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team grabbed a quick, dominating win over non-conference Lincoln Christian University Tuesday evening, 3-0. The Owls won 25-9, 25-12, 25-15 to move to 14-7 on the season.
The Owls play eight blocks away at neighboring Westminster College on Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the Historic Gym located on Westminster's campus. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.

Game Highlights
The Owls blasted a 10-0 run after a back-and-forth start to take an 18-8 lead. After an attack error halted the run, the Owls picked right back up with a 7-0 run to close out the set with a 25-9 win.
LCU grabbed a 5-3 lead to start set two, and the lead bounced around for the next few points. With the set tied 10-10, the Owls blasted a 12-0 run to pull up 22-10.
Blair Busenbark closed out the set with two aces to win 25-12.
The Owls maintained possession of the lead through the start of set three, but LCU hung in there and evened the score twice. A kill from
Riley Alton started a 5-0 run to put the Owls up 14-9. The Owls again hit a 5-0 run with two aces from
Alli Gueck to give the Owls a 21-12 lead. A LCU attack error ended the match with a 25-15 win.
