Owls Blank Williams Baptist, 1-0

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – The William Woods University women's soccer team blanked Williams Baptist University Saturday afternoon for their first conference win, 1-0. The Owls move to 5-4-1 on the season with a 1-2 conference mark.
 
Hannah Loethen scored the only goal of the game in the 80th minute. She took the shot right outside the 18 off a rebound from McKenzie Gourley's shot.
 
The Owls outshot WBU 9-7 with four shots landing on goal.
 
Belle Boschert (5-2-1) grabbed the win in goal. She made six saves in her 90 minutes between the posts.
 
The Owls make another long trip on Tuesday, Oct. 12, for a conference game versus Lyon College.
