Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team concluded their season with a loss in the AMC semifinals to Harris-Stowe State University this afternoon, 1-0.
The Owls end their season with a 12-5-1.
McKenzie Gourley had the first shot on goal attempt with 35 minutes into the first period but it was saved by the goalkeeper.
The game went into halftime tied, 0-0.
The Owls started the second period aggressive as they had two shots on goal in a row by
Chloe Overkamp that was saved followed by
Abby Prather-Turner that went too high.
With the clock hitting the 30
th minute mark, Harris-Stowe had their only shot on goal which ended up being the game-winning goal.
HSSU outshot the Owls, 8-5.
Belle Boschert (8-3-1) played 90 minutes in between the posts.
Following today's victory Harris-Stowe advanced to the final of the AMC championship.
