GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The William Woods University men's basketball team fell to 5-8 on the season as they lost to Aquinas College on the road Saturday afternoon, 69-56.
The Owls look to tie the program record for consecutive home wins as they host Waldorf University (Iowa) on Monday, Dec. 13, at 1:30 p.m. They currently sit with seven straight home wins extending back to last season.

Darius Yohe pulled down 13 boards with nine coming from the defensive end as he posted his fifth double-double of the season. He's posted a double-double in five of the last six games.

Game Highlights
After three minutes of play,
Nathan Schwartze hit a three to put the Owls on the board. He hit a second one less than a minute later to put the Owls back in the lead, and
Spencer Yoggerst scored the next four points to give the Owls a six-point lead 5:28 into the game, 10-4.
Aquinas pushed a 10-0 run over the next four minutes to take over the lead, 14-10.
Darius Yohe went 2-for-2 from the foul line, and
Makenzie Fessler scored four on two jump shots to put the Owls ahead with 8:25 to play, 16-14.
Aquinas closed out the half with a 10-2 run to hold a six-point advantage over the Owls heading into halftime, 26-20.
A three from Schwartze started an Owls' 8-0 run to cut the game to one seven minutes into the second half, 33-32.
Two free throws from Schwartze brought the Owls back within one with 11:18 to play, but Aquinas pushed back a six-point lead over the next minute, 40-34.
A dunk from Yohe cut the game to two points with 7:48 on the clock, but Aquinas pushed a 7-0 run to take up a nine-point lead with just under six minutes to play, 50-41. Aquinas managed to extend their lead to 14 with just under a minute to play, 67-53.
Schwartze's fifth three of the game cut the difference to 11, but Aquinas closed out the game with two good free throws to end the game with a 69-56 final score.
