MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Men's and Women's Track and Field opened their season at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic, and Senior Katie French placed second in both shot put and weight throw.

THROWS:
French hit a PR in the weight throw finishing in second place following her 15.47-meter throw. In the shot put, she also finished in second place with a 12.69-meter toss.
 
Daulton Melton finished in 10^th place in the weight throw with a 14.12-meter throw. He also placed 10^th in the shot put with a 12.47-meter toss.
 
SPRINTS:
In the 60-meter dash, Isaiah Buse placed 35^th with a 7.42 time.
 
In the 200-meter dash, Buse finished in 34^th place with a 24.47 time and Kannon Patterson placed 36^th with a time of 26.62.
 
In the 300-meter, Emma Clifford placed 18^th with a 49.88 time.
 
In the 400-meter dash, Patterson finished in 25^th with a 58.12 time and Jacob Polacek placed 26^th with a time of 58.24.

 
DISTANCE:
In the 800-meter run, Dustin Russell placed 10^th with a time of 2:08.76 and Brian Winkelmann placed 12^th with a 2:30.89 time.
 
Emma Clifford placed 18^th in the 800-meter with a 2:44.77 time.
 
In the mile run, Russell finished in 14^th place with a time of 4:56.63, and Winkelmann finished in 17^th place with a 5:39.73 time.
 
RELAYS:
The 4x400-meter relay, comprised of Kannon Patterson, Brian Winkelmann, Dustin Russell, and Jacob Polacek finished in 15^th place with a time of 4:15.86.
