ELSAH, Ill. – The William Woods University women's track and field team competed at the third TRXC Timing Opportunity Meet hosted at Principia College-Jim Crafton Training Center on Friday afternoon.

The meet featured field events and sprints. The farthest event the meet went to was a mile, leaving out the distance runners.
Katie French set a new personal record in the shot put, and
Kylie Zamboni-Cutter also set a new PR in the high jump.
French finished first in the shot put with a 13.08-meter throw, placing her second in the record book. She currently ranks 10th in the NAIA, moving up three spots. She also placed third in weight throw with a 14.20-meter throw.
Zamboni-Cutter finished second in the high jump with a 1.59-meter. Her jump ties her in 24th in the NAIA, moving up three spots.
Lauren Imler placed third in the 800-meter run with a 3:00 time.
Ananiah Talton grabbed a fourth place finish in the shot put with an 11.71-meter throw. She also finished seventh in the weight throw with a 12.86-meter throw.
Jeanette Woehrle finished eighth in the shot put with a 10.52-meter throw and 11th in the weight throw with a 11.29-meter throw.
Jessica Clausner finished sixth in the high jump with a 1.39-meter jump. She also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing tenth with a 29.15 time.
The Owls return to competition tomorrow in Elsah, Ill. at the Last Chance/AMC Invite. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
