GREENWOOD, Ind. - William Woods Women's Cross Country and Track and Field notched five names on the College Sports Communicators 2025-26 Academic All-District® team, the most for either program. The three cross country runners and five track and field athletes earned their place due to their high standard of performance in both academics and athletics.
Senior
Crystal Ruden, sophomore
Anna Hart, and senior
Myra Baker were each honorees for their work during both the cross country and track and field seasons. The group are each first-time Academic All-District® nominees.
Graduate student
Mekayla Gibson and sophomore
Esther (El) Reagan are the sole track and field athletes from the group to place on the list. As with the other three, Gibson and Reagan are first time honorees.
Anna Hart is a candidate for CSC's prestigious Academic All-America® award as well. The honor is given to those who excelled in their field of play and in the classroom. Hart, a 2x NAIA All-American in the indoor and outdoor race walk events, certainly excelled as an athlete during the 2025-26 academic year. The Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Academic All-America® lists will be released on July 15th.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
