ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team fell to no. 5 Missouri Baptist University Tuesday evening, 3-0. The loss was the first conference loss for the Owls, bringing them to 6-1 in the American Midwest Conference. Overall, they are 6-3.
The Owls lost 25-14, 25-16, 25-7.
The Owls close out their regular season with two home matches. The Owls host Hannibal-LaGrange on Thursday, April 1.

Game Flow
The Owls took a 3-1 lead following a kill from
Kate Doerhoff and
Lanie Lowry, but MBU flipped the lead. Two kills from Bailey Petry brought the Owls within two, but MBU pushed out a 7-2 run to go up 17-10. MBU went on to win it 25-14.
The Owls closed the set to three following a kill from Petry and two kills from
Faith McQueen, 11-8. MBU then pushed out an eight-point lead, 17-9. They went on to win 25-16.
MBU went on to win it after a 25-7 set three.
