FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team earned their third win of the season on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Missouri Baptist. The Owls move to 3-1 on the season.
Jagan Crane netted the first goal of the game in the 26
th minute off
Jon Buerge's assist.
That goal served as the only one of the half.
MBU evened the score on a penalty kick in the 81
st minute.
In the 85
th minute, Crane netted his second goal of the game which also served as the game-winning goal.
The Owls were outshot 27-12.
Ben Faherty started in between the posts and made eight stops on the day.
Iker Gonzalez (1-1) came in at halftime and made 10 stops on the day.
The Owls host University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Wednesday, March 10, at 6:30 p.m. for their second conference game.
