ATCHISON, Kan. – The William Woods University softball team dropped two games to Benedictine (Kan.) Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Owls fall to 4-4 on the season. 
 
The Owls host Judson University on Sunday, March 7, for their home-opener. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
 
Game One
BC took a 1-0 lead in the fourth with an RBI triple and added a second in the sixth with a lead-off home run over the left field fence. 
 
The Owls managed just four hits in the game.
 
Alexis Hassler (3-1) pitched the complete game and threw four strikeouts.
 
Game Two
BC took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. 
 
In the top of the fifth, 
Arianna Donovan hit an RBI double to deep left-center field to score 
Ally Mahoney and even the score at 1-1.
 
BC scored eight in the bottom of the fifth to end the game early. 
 
The Owls were held to just two hits in the game. 
Ashlyn Towery (0-2) pitched 4.1 innings and was credited with the loss. 
Kalee Wall came in as relief and pitched 0.1 innings.
