Gulf Shores, Ala. – Natalie Thomas,
Quentin Webert, and
Ellie Dimond of the track and field team competed at the NAIA National Outdoor Championships today. The events are held at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
Competing in the 3000-meter steeple chase, Dimond qualified to the finals following her 12
th place finish with a 11:18.76 time setting a new PR, sitting first in the WWU Record Book. She will compete in the finals on Friday at 2 p.m.
Competing in the hammer, Webert finished in 11
th place with a 55.71-meter throw setting a new PR. His throw moves him to second place in the WWU Record Book.
Competing in the javelin, Thomas placed 16
th following her 35.99-meter throw.
Katie French will compete tomorrow in the shot put at 2:30 p.m.
