SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team fell to RV Evangel University in three sets. The loss drops them to 11-6 on the season.
The Owls lost 20-25, 21-25, 15-25.
The Owls start a four-game home stretch as they open American Midwest Conference play against No. 4 Missouri Baptist University on Thursday, Sept. 23. The first serve begins at 7 p.m.

Game Highlights
EU jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the match, but a kill from
Kassidy Phillips followed by an EU ball handling error put the Owls within one point, 8-7. EU pushed back their lead, but a 3-0 run with kills from
Lanie Lowry and Phillips brought the Owls within one again, 18-17. EU scored the next three, and the Owls were unable to recover, falling 25-20.
Set two had the lead bouncing back-and-forth to start until EU put together a 3-0 run to take a 14-11 lead. A kill from
Hannah Kuehl evened the score at 16 all, but a 4-0 EU run put them up 22-17. A kill from Phillips followed by an EU ball handling error kept EU at set point, but they eventually won 25-21.
Set three once again was close with the lead changing possession throughout the first half of the set. When the Owls trailed 15-13, EU strung together an 8-0 run to take a 23-13 lead. A service error ended the run, and the Owls were able to score just once more on a kill from
Lauren Adams. An EU block ended the match with a 25-15 Owls' loss.
