FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's soccer team drew with Ottawa University after 110 minutes of play in constant rain Saturday afternoon, 0-0. The Owls move to 2-1-1 following the draw.
The Owls outshot Ottawa 8-2 in the first half, and three fell into the keeper's hands. They again took three shots on goal in the second half but were unable to connect.
Ottawa took five of their seven shots on goal in the two overtime periods, but
Belle Boschert made the stop each time.
Boschert (2-0-1) finished with the complete game shutout and seven saves.
Sydney Balducci fired off five shots with two falling on goal.
Next up for the Owls is their final game of their opening home stretch on Wednesday, September 8. They host Midland University at 4 p.m. on Firley Field.
