FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods University women's soccer team defeated Midland University 1-0 this afternoon. The win moves the Owls to 3-1-1.
With the clock hitting the 43rd minute mark, McKenzie Gourley, who had just went in for the Owls, stole the ball and hit an insane left foot shot just beyond the tip of the goalkeeper.Â
In the second period, the Owls had five opportunities to score but were unable to find the back of the net.Â
Belle Boschert stayed all 90 minutes in between the posts and made four stops.Â
The Owls will travel to Hastings College on Saturday, Sep. 11 for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
