COLUMBIA, Mo. - The William Woods University women's soccer team faced Stephens College in an AMC matchup this Wednesday evening. The game ended in a 0-0 tie. The Owls move to 4-6-2 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play. 

The Owls started the game extremely aggressive as they had 10 shots in the first period with four going on goal but all saved by Stephens' goalie.

The Owls' offense held Stephens to only one shot on goal during the first period of regulation but Michyla Handley made the stop.

In the second period, the tables turned as Stephens was the one with the high shots' attempt, with eight. The Owls only had two opportunities to score but were unable to find the back of the net to end the game in a 0-0 draw.

Michyla Handley played 90 minutes in between posts. She stopped six shots with five coming from the second period. 

The Owls outshot Stephens, 12-9. 

The Owls host Williams Baptist on Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m.
