Martinez Scores Goal in Loss to HSSU

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Sophomore Nicolas Martinez scored one goal for the William Woods University men's soccer team in today's 3-1 loss to Harris-Stowe State University Tuesday afternoon. The team drops to 2-7-3 overall and 0-3-1 in conference play.
 
Two minutes into the first period, Nicolas Martinez found the back of the net for the Owls taking the lead of the game.
 
HSSU scored one goal in the 33rd minute to go into halftime with the game tied, 1-1.
 
In the second period, HSSU scored two more goals to take a 3-1 victory over the Owls.
 
Iker Gonzalez played in between posts and recorded three saves.
 
The Owls were outshot by HSSU, 3-10.
 
The team return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 at No. 21 Columbia. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
