COLUMBIA, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team took a 5-1 loss to No. 19 Columbia Saturday afternoon. The team drops to 2-8-3 overall and 0-4-1 in conference play.
 
Columbia held a 3-0 lead going into half time.
 
Columbia scored two more goals during the second period while the Owls were able to find the back of the net once with Omar Murillo assisted by Guillermo Fernandez.
 
Iker Gonzalez (1-3-1) was credited with the loss on goal. He played 90 minutes in between posts and stopped eight shots.
 
Columbia outshot the Owls, 20-9.
 
The Owls host Lyon on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
