FULTON, Mo. - Junior Sydney Balducci of the William Woods University women's soccer team recorded a hat trick in today's 4-0 shutout against Lyon. The team improves to 6-8-2 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play. 

With 11 minutes on the clock, Cindy Gonzalez found the back of the net in the far post. 

Four minutes later, Sydney Balducci scored her first goal of the day to extend the lead for the Owls. 

The game went into halftime with the Owls leading 2-0. 

Lauren Helmert shot on goal five minutes into the second period. The goalkeeper bobbled it and Balducci was there to follow the rebound and find the back of the net once again, 3-0. 

Helmert played a short through ball between the center back and outside back for Balducci to run onto. She quick touched it, and shot low back post past the diving goal keeper to secure a 4-0 clean sheet victory. 

Belle Boschert was credited with the win on goal. She played 90 minutes in between posts and recorded one save. 

The Owls outshot Lyon, 13-1. 

The Owls host Missouri Baptist on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
