FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University volleyball team swept Williams Baptist University Thursday evening for their sixth conference win. The Owls move to 13-15 on the season with a 7-1 conference record.
The Owls won 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.
The Owls next host No. 14 Columbia on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. The night will serve as a "student-athlete appreciation" night.

How It Happened
WBU started the match with a 6-1 lead, but the Owls evened the score midway through. A key 5-0 Owls' run late in the set with three kills and two blocks put the Owls up 20-15. The Owls finished out the set with a 3-1 run ending with a kill from
Rhakala Blackmon to win 25-20.
A 6-1 Owls' run midway through set two gave the team a seven-point lead, 20-13. WBU closed the gap to three, but a kill from
Lauren Adams ended the set with a 25-20 win again.
The Owls dominated in set three, jumping to a 7-2 lead before WBU called a timeout. The team followed with an 8-1 run to put the Owls up 15-4. WBU answered with a 6-0 run, but a block from
Emma Austin and Adams ended the WBU run. The Owls maintained the lead, and a kill from
Kennedy Lane closed out the match with a 25-19 set three win.
