ST. LOUIS, Mo. – (Tournament Page) The William Woods University women’s soccer team enters the American Midwest Conference Championship as the four seed and will host five-seeded Stephens College for the opening round of the AMC Championship on Friday, Nov. 4. The two teams face off at 5 p.m.

Each round of the tournament will be hosted by the higher seed, beginning with the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 4, followed by the semifinals on Monday, Nov. 7 and the champion crowned on Thursday, Nov. 10.

The Owls enter postseason with a 7-9-2 overall record and a 4-3-1 conference mark. In their first meeting with Stephens, the Owls played to a 0-0 draw.

Sydney Balducci leads the Owls' offense with 27 points including a team-high 13 goals. Three of her goals have served as game-winners. Lauren Helmert and Abby Prather-Turner lead the team in assists with five a piece. 

The Owls' defensive efforts are footed by Michyla Handley and Belle Boschert. Handley has started in 12 games and holds a 5-4-1 record in goal with 72 saves, three shutouts and eight complete games. Boschert holds a 2-4-1 record in goal with 33 saves, one shutout and six complete games.
