FULTON, Mo. – Ella Aguiar of Windsor High School signed with William Woods University softball as catcher, announced Head Coach Tracy Gastineau.
 
"We are so happy to welcome Ella to our program and university," stated Gastineau. "She is a catcher with great framing skills and a lefty hitter with good placement and pop in her bat.  Ella's family has a previous connection to us as her mom played softball here.  We feel Ella will be a great fit in our program and university and love when someone with family ties comes back!"
 
Aguiar was a three-year varsity member of the Windsor High School Wizards' softball team. In her final season with the Wizards, she lead her team to regional championships in 2022 finishing the season 21-6 with a top 8 finish in the state. 
 
Throughout her stellar four-year career, she was named Academic All State in 2021 and 2022 along with receiving the Golden Glove Award and S.T.A.R. Award in 2020.
 
Aguiar, the daughter of Tara and Brian, intends to major in Elementary Education while at Woods.
