BATESVILLE, Ar. – The William Woods University men's basketball earned a big-time win on the road today over Lyon College, 59-46. The Owls are 16-12 overall and 10-4 in conference play.
The Owls host RV Missouri Baptist on Thursday, Feb. 17. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

Game Highlights
The Owls started off the game with an 8-0 run with a three and a jumper from
Spencer Yoggerst followed by a three-pointer from
Nathan Schwartze with 17:52 left. A layup from
Jared Crutcher gives the Owls an 11-point lead, 16-5. Lyon responded with a 6-0 run but
Andrew Nett hits a three for a 19-11 lead with 8:45 left. Crutcher hit two layups from Schwartze giving the Owls a 10-point lead 25-15. A jumper from Schwartze ended the first period with the Owls leading 27-21.
Darius Yohe started the second half grabbing a rebound and hitting a bucket followed by a layup in the paint from Yoggerst, 31-21. A field-goal from Crutcher gave the Owls a 12-point lead, 38-26. Lyon responded with four free-throws but Yoggerst hit a jumper to a 40-30 lead. Crutcher hit a bucket followed by a dunk increasing the Owls lead to 15 with 2:17 left, 55-40. The final four points from the Owls all came from free-throws. The Owls won 59-46.
