LAUREL, Miss. – The William Woods University softball team hit five home runs – two by 
Arianna Donovan – to sweep Southeastern Baptist this afternoon. The Owls won game one 13-1 and then won game two, 10-1. The team improve to 9-8 on the season.

The Owls open AMC play at Stephens on Tuesday, Mar. 15. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
 
"Hitting five homeruns on the day is a nice way to end our spring break week," stated Head Coach 
Tracy Gastineau. "We also capitalized on some defensive errors they made. Those things are all good signs heading into AMC play this coming week."
 
Game One
The Owls defeated Southeastern Baptist in five innings, 13-1.
	- Emma Taylor went 1 for 2. She scored one run and recorded two RBIs.
- Mia Santos went 2 for 3. She scored three runs, had three RBIs, and hit one homerun.
- Katie Gaus went 3 for 4. She scored one run and recorded two RBIs.
- Devyn Burton went 1 for 3. She scored one run and had two RBIs.
- Ally Mahoney went 1 for 3. She scored two runs, had two RBIs, and hit a homer.
- Arianna Donovan went 1 for 2. She scored two runs, recorded one RBI and hit one homerun.
- Kristen Mogan scored one run
- Sidney Willbeck scored two runs.
Alexis Hassler was credited with the win on the mound. She pitched 3.0 innings and struck out two while allowing one hit.
 
Game Two
The Owls took a 10-1 win over Southeastern Baptist.
Kalee Wall took the win on the mound. She pitched 5.0 innings and struck out two while allowing four hits and one run.
