COLUMBIA, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team grabbed their fifth consecutive win Tuesday afternoon following two dominating performances over Stephens. The team improves to 11-8 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

The Owls will travel to Culver-Stockton on Thursday, Mar. 17 at 1 p.m.

"Out battery (Sarah, Alexis and Ally) had a great day not allowing a run to score in the doubleaheader," stated Head Coach Tracy Gastineau. "Offensively, Taylor Bell continues her hot hitting and driving in big runs for us. A great way to start conference play."

Game One
The Owls won game one over Stephens in five innings, 10-0.

• Emma Taylor went 2 for 2. She scored one run.
• Jessica Keilholz scored one run.
• Celeste Sermeno went 2 for 3. She scored two runs and recorded one RBI.
• Mia Santos went 1 for 1 and recorded one RBI.
• Taylor Bell went 1 for 3. She scored one run and had two RBIs.
• Mallory Feldewerth went 2 for 3. She recorded two RBIs and scored one run.
• Devyn Burton, Arianna Donovan, Ally Mahoney, and Katie Gaus each scored one run and recorded one RBI.
• The Owls outhit the Stars, 12-3.

Sarah Randermann took the win on the mound. She pitched 5.0 innings and struck out four while allowing three runs.
 
Game Two
The Owls won took a 4-0 win over Stephens in game two.

• Emma Taylor went 2 for 3 and scored one run.
• Katie Gaus and Celeste Sermeno each scored one run.
• Taylor Bell went 2 for 3 and recorded three RBIs.
• Annika Ramon scored one run.
• Mallory Feldewerth went 1 for 4 and recorded one RBI.
• The Owls outhit the Stars, 8-3.

Alexis Hassler grabbed the win on the mound. She pitched 7.0 innings and struck out one while allowing three hits.
