Softball Sweeps Hornets on Senior Day

FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods University team swept Harris-Stowe State University Saturday afternoon. The team improves to 17-10 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

Next for the Owls is a doubleheader at home against Evangel on Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 2 p.m.

"We had a great weekend at the plate. Up and down the lineup we hit the ball extremely hard with a lot of line drive hits.  It was a nice way to recognize our seven seniors graduating this year."

Game One
The Owls took a 50-2 win over Harris-Stowe in five innings. 
  • Emma Taylor went 3 for 3. She scored seven runs and had four RBIs. 
  • Devyn Burton went 3 for 5. She scored five runs and had three RBIs. 
  • Celeste Sermeno went 3 for 4. She scored eight runs and had five RBIs. 
  • Mallory Feldewerth went 5 for 7. She scored six runs and had six RBIs. 
  • Alexis Hassler went 5 for 7. She scored five runs and had nine RBIs. 
  • Kristen Mogan went 4 for 6. She scored five runs and had five RBIs. 
  • Sydney Wilbeck went 2 for 6. She scored two runs and had four RBIs. 
  • Ally Mahoney went 1 for 4. She scored five runs and had three RBIs. 
  • Annika Ramon went 4 for 4. She scored five runs and had seven RBIs. 
Ashlyn Towery took the win on the mound. She pitched 5.0 innings, struck out ten while allowing four hits and two runs. 

Game Two
The Owls defeated Harris-Stowe in five innings, 34-2.  Kalee Wall was credited with the win on the mound. She pitched 3.0 innings and struck out five while allowing three hits and two runs. 

Jessica Keilholz pitched 2.0 innings and struck out two.
