COLUMBIA, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team fell to Central Baptist Friday afternoon. The team moves to 17-12 overall and 6-2 in AMC play.

"It was a tale of two teams today," commented Head Coach
Tracy Gastineau. "Our defense failed us in game one; and was great in game two. Both of our pitchers put us in a position to win; we just didn't capitalize on their outings."
Game One
The Owls took a 5-2 loss to CBC.
Sarah Randermann (8-5) took the loss on the mound. She pitched 7.0 innings and struck out five while allowing five hits and three runs.
Game Two
The Owls fell to CBC, 1-0.
Kalee Wall (4-3) was credited with the loss on the mound. She pitched 7.0 innings and allowed eight hits and one run.
