ROLLA, Mo. – The William Woods University women's track and field team competed at the Miner Invite Saturday afternoon, and
Katie French hit the NAIA "A" Standard in the shot put.
French will now head to the NAIA Outdoor Championships in the shot put.

Katie French placed first out of 17 in shot put with a 13.75-meter toss, hitting the NAIA "A" standard. She also finished second in hammer with a 43.01-meter mark.
In the javelin, Susan Moman improved her personal record with a 37.83-meter throw placing her fourth.
Natalie Thomas finished in eighth place with a throw of 36.27-meter.
Competing in the 400-meter dash,
Kristan Wilson finished in eighth place with a time of 1:08.02.
Competing in the 800-meter run,
Ellie Dimond placed fifth with a time of 2:25.26 and
Harley Nale placed 10
thwith a 2:28.27 time.
In the 5000-meter run,
Alicia Engelbrecht placed fourth with a time of 19:29.97, and
Faith Gerling finished in the 10
th spot with a time of 20:28.58.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team was comprised of
Kristan Wilson,
Nia Hawkins,
Ellie Dimond,
Harley Nale. They finished third with a time of 4:25.60.
Competing in the long jump,
Nia Hawkins placed seventh with a time of 5.23m hitting a new personal record.
