MARSHALL, Mo. – The William Woods University baseball team split with Missouri Valley this Friday afternoon. The Owls grabbed an 8-5 win on game one, and fell on game two, 17-6. The team improve to 10-5 on the season.
 
The Owls finish out the four-game series with Missouri Valley on Saturday, Mar. 5 with a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m.
 
Game One
The Owls won 8-5 over Missouri Valley.

• Marcus Gonzalez was 2 for 3. He hit one homerun, scored two runs and had two RBIs.
• Kamron Morriss was 2 for 3. He hit one homerun, scored two runs and had one RBI.
• Alex Wimer was 2 for 3. He had two RBIs.
• Tyklen Salmons and Vincent Pyeatt each scored one run.
• Bryson Matthews scored two runs and had one RBI.
• Jack Niggemeier was 1 for 3 and had two RBIs.

Game Two
The Owls fell to Missouri Valley, 17-6.

• Marcus Gonzalez was 1 for 4. He hit one homerun and had three RBIs.
• Bryson Matthews was 1 for 4 and he had one RBI.
• Isaiah Gibbs was 3 for 4. He hit one homerun, scored one run and had two RBIs.
• Zach Krause was 1 for 3 and scored one run.
• Tyklen Salmons, Jack Niggemeier and Vincent Pyeatt each scored one run.
• Andrew Fyffe was credited with the loss on the mound. He struck out one while allowing six hits and seven runs.
• Missouri Valley outhit the Owls, 18-8.
