BROOKINGS, S.D. - The William Woods University men's and women's track & field team kicked off the 2022 NAIA Indoor National Championships, participating in the prelims of the men's 800-meter run and women's weight throw.

"It was a tough day today for Landon in the 800m prelims. He was in second place down the final stretch and got tripped up and fell with 15 meters to go," said Head Coach
Dan Schwab, "Great indoor year for him; finishing AMC Runner of the Year and making it to nationals. I am looking forward to seeing him progress this outdoor season."
"Katie performed well today and improved her weight throw rank from the entry list. I am excited for her to see how she performs in the women's shot put tomorrow."
Landon Dunlap made his debut at the NAIA Track & Field Indoor National Championships today in the prelims of the 800-meter run. Dunlap competed in the heat two, finishing in fifth place with a time of 2:03.33. He placed 17
th overall.
Competing in the weight throw,
Katie French placed 15
th out of 29 with a 16.23-meter throw.
French will compete in the shot put tomorrow, Mar. 5 at 11 a.m.
